Brad Gastwirth – Chief Investment Officer

Brad has over a decade of experience working in the financial services industry. Brad’s experience has been centered around advising some of the world’s largest Mutual and Hedge Funds globally in an institutional research sales capacity. Brad has been recognized by Institutional Investor in both the “Best Sales Overall” and “Best Technology Sales” categories.

Prior to the merger of American Technology Research into Broadpoint Securities Group, Brad led the sales team to two consecutive record years in revenue. Brad is also the Chief Executive Officer of ABR Investment Strategy a leading independent research advisory firm.

Prior to Wall Street Brad worked at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in their Imagery Intelligence department and was part of their Co-op program.

Brad graduated from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business with Distinction in Finance. While working at ABN AMRO in Chicago, Brad took MBA classes at University of Chicago Graduate school of Business.

Matt Bryson – Storage and Hardware

Matt has covered storage and hardware equities since 2001 when he joined Avian Securities.  Matt is currently the Head of Storage and Hardware at ABR Investment Strategy.  As part of this role, he has consistently engaged with private companies early in the venture process beginning with EqualLogic and LeftHand with Diablo, Simplivity, and Skyera, among others more recent examples of vendors he has met with prior to (or just post) exits from stealth.

Rob Horvath – Partner, Chief Operating Officer

Before joining ABR, Rob was the CCO at Standard Pacific Capital (multi-billion, multi-strategy hedge fund) and Lateef Investment Management (multi-billion RIA). Prior to that, Rob worked as a Compliance Examiner at the SEC and was part of the Regulatory Investigations Group at Bank of America. Rob graduated from UCLA and earned a JD from Tulane. Rob’s work experience has provided him a solid foundation in Regulatory Compliance and Operations.
